Hot Diggity Dog Sympathy Card

My mother and father-in-law said goodbye to their Springer Spaniel, Diamond, last week.  I really wanted to let them know that I was thinking about them.  What better way than to send them a card handmade with love?

The Hot Diggity Dog stamp set is one of my favorites from the 2014-15 Annual Catalog.  I ordered it right away, because of the beautiful sentiments and adorable pups (which you can mix and match heads and bodies!).  I didn't really think I would use it so soon.

I used the Hearts a Flutter Framelits dies to crop the pink heart (there's a matching one inside).  The Primrose Petals card stock and ribbon are now retired, but you could easily substitute another color.  The cute little wooden heart is the perfect touch to finish it off.  Did you notice the matching envelope liner?

New Catalog Launch Party!

Last Thursday night I held a New Catalog Launch Party to showcase some of the AMAZING new products available from Stampin' Up!  Thank you to everyone who came to party with me...it was so much fun!

What would a stamping party be without Make 'n' Takes?  We made this gorgeous card, which I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everywhere) from Mary Brown, aka Stampercamper.  It uses the new photopolymer Flower Patch stamp set and matching Flower Fair Framelits Dies.  See Mary's original design here.

The real star of the show, though, was the new Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  We used it for both cards we made.  Here we used another photopolymer stamp set, Age Awareness.  I knew the minute I saw the sentiment, "Thanks, Facebook", I was going to have to have this stamp set!  I send out LOTS of birthday cards, and Facebook is my best friend when it comes to reminding me of everyone's birthday. ;)  This card was also a CASE from April Waltrip, and I found it on her blog here.

One of the great things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is that I get access to all these wonderful ideas from such creative people!  I don't always have time to brainstorm and create from scratch, so sometimes I "borrow" ideas from my stampin' friends.  Right now is a great time to join Stampin' Up! as the starter kit is just $50 (regularly $99), and you get a FREE Paper Pumpkin kit when you sign up!

Speaking of Paper Pumpkin, did you see all the cute pinwheels at the party?  Those are from the June kit that I received last week.  I couldn't wait to put all together.  Talk about perfect timing!  I was all set for decorations for both the New Catalog Launch Party and a birthday party last weekend!

Of course, the party wasn't all about stamping.  What's a party without yummy food and wine?  Take a look at these tasty treats.

Interested in the recipes?  Let me know, and I would be happy to share.

Cute Something for Baby Card

If you read my last post, you know that the Something for Baby bundle is one of my favorite products from the new catalog.  The card I am sharing with you today uses this super cute stamp set and matching Framelits dies.

The base of the card uses another one of my favorites, Coastal Cabana card stock.  I find myself using this color a lot!  I layered it with some of the Lullaby Designer Series Paper to add a little texture.  Coordinating colors, Hello Honey (one of the new 2014-16 In Colors) and Baked Brown Sugar were used as accents.

Now on to what I love best about this stamp set…the cute little onesie and ADORABLE little neck tie!  The onesie was stamped using Coastal Cabana ink, and then cropped with the matching Framelits die.  The neck tie was also stamped and cut with a matching die.  The greeting was stamped using the Something to Say stamp set, also from the 2014-15 Annual Catalog.  I added a cute little hanger clip (that unfortunately retired this year) for the perfect touch!
