Making Christmas Bright Gift Bag & Tag

This is a cute little gift bag and matching tag I made using the Santa's Bags and Making Christmas Bright stamp set.  I belong to a tutorial co-op group where each month we each submit a project based on an assigned theme, and this was my project for November.  As part of the co-op, we can use each other's project tutorials, and I have chosen to send them all in my monthly newsletter.  If you are not subscribed to my newsletter, you can sign up using the contact form on the bottom right of the screen!

This project uses the Santa's Bags found on page 19 of the 2018 Holiday Catalog and the Making Christmas Bright stamp set and punch bundle.

I stamped directly on the bag using Memento black ink and then colored in the light bulbs using my Stampin' Write Markers.  It's hard to see in the photo, but the light bulbs on the tag are finished with Wink of Stella, giving them a sparkle!

If you missed this month's newsletter that was sent out a few days ago, you can still download this tutorial to create this project!

OnStage Display Stamper Application Blog Post

Hello!  It's been a long time since my last blog post.  I've been busy doing live Facebook videos and have kind of left this space neglected. 😞

Today I'm back with a post showcasing some of my favorite projects from the past few months.  You may have seen some of them already if you follow me on social media.  Some of my teammates and I are traveling to Orlando in November for Stampin' Up!®'s 30th Anniversary OnStage celebration, and I am applying for the honor of becoming a display board stamper.  My application requires that I share several different projects in a blog post, so that is what I am doing today.

This first project is one of my all-time favorite cards.  I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers Framelits to make this beautiful card.  It's a little hard to see in the photo, but the little diamonds are made by mixing a little Lemon Lime Twist and Coastal Cabana reinkers with white embossing paste.  I love how it turned out!

These next two cards also top my list of favorites.  The first one I made for a blog hop during this year's annual retirement season, and the second one I made for Mother's Day.  There was a coordinating gift box that I made to go with the second one.  Do you remember seeing that on Instagram?

In addition to cards, I have been asked to share a scrapbook page and some 3-D items.  This gift bag was made for my mom's birthday this year.  I taught the members of my Stamp Club how to make it as well.  I love the beautiful flower embossed in the center.

This scrapbook page is going to make it's debut on Facebook Live tomorrow.  I absolutely LOVE's my favorite holiday!  Last year I dressed as Cruella De Ville from 101 Dalmations.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of my entire outfit...I won 2nd place in the costume contest!  This scrapbook page features brand new products from the holiday catalog that will be available to purchase on September 5th.  (Do you see the cute little spider charm)?

I will also be demonstrating this cute Halloween mini pizza box on Facebook Live tomorrow.  It also features new products available very soon!

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at some of my favorite projects and please wish me luck in being selected as a display stamper!

Stampin' Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Stampin' Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop.  I'm excited to be joining in on my very first blog hop!

Today we are sharing projects made with retiring Stampin' Up! products.  One of my favorite items has been the Large Numbers Framelits Dies.  I find them so versatile!  They can be used for everything from birthdays to anniversaries and so many more options.  Today I am sharing a card I made that could be used for a variety of occasions - birthday, New Year's, or graduation.  If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen this card once before.  I originally created it with New Year's in mind, but have held on to it because I plan to use it for a special graduate who deserves the confetti!

This set of numbers is perfect for card making and scrapbooking.  I have used them for 50th anniversary cards, for birthday cards with the recipient's age on the front, and for scrapbooking titles.  The possibilities are endless.  Don't forget that there is a matching stamp set!

Another retiring product that you may notice is the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper that I used for the confetti background.  This is another one of my favorites from the Occasions catalog, and I'm so glad I stocked up because it is already sold out!

The banner is from the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.

I'm going to be so sad to see some of these amazing products leave us, but they need to make room for super trendy things in the upcoming catalog.  Remember, all the items that we are featuring on our posts are only available while supplies last!

I hope that I've inspired you with my bright and cheerful card, and I hope that you'll continue on to the next stop on the blog hop!

"Snow" Covered Trees

Hello there!  Thanks for joining me today!  Today I want to share a technique that I recently learned from my friend and teammate, Sherry.

Notice the snow on the trees?  It's puffy!

To make the puffy snow, mix equal parts of shaving cream and Elmer's School Glue (about 2 tablespoons of each).  Then use a small paint brush to apply it to the trees.  As it dries, it puffs up!  You could also add some Dazzling Details or other glitter to the mixture to give it some sparkle.  How fun is this?!!?

My Stamp Club members will get to make this card tonight!  A new round of Stamp Club begins soon.  Want to join?  Contact me to be put on the waiting list.  I'll be looking for new members in January!
