Andrea's Bridal Shower

My brother is getting married on September 6th (I'm SO excited!), and my sister, mother and I held a bridal shower for his fiance, Andrea, last weekend at a local winery.  I was in charge of invitations and decorations...of course!  I've been waiting to share all my creations until after the shower.  I didn't want to ruin the surprise!

Let's start with the invitations.  I wanted simple, but elegant.  I used Melon Mambo as the primary color for the invitations and decorations.  It matches perfectly with our bridesmaid dresses.  Andrea loves sparkle, so I added just a touch of bling to the invitations using the heart border punch to punch out the tiny little silver hearts for an accent.

I've been wanting to make the gift bag I saw in the Annual Catalog (page 71) from the moment I saw it (It might be the reason I volunteered for the decorations - wink)!  I changed the design just a tiny bit.  I used the Flower Frenzy Bigz L die and Fancy Foil Designer Vellum to jazz up the Chevron and Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags.

My sister, Amber, was in charge of the entertainment.  She did this game where she put items starting with each letter of the groom's last name in bags, and everyone had to guess what was inside.  I decorated these bags to match.

I also made these vases (not Stampin' Up! products).  They are made to look like wedding dresses.  Do you like them?

My aunt, Cindy, is incredibly talented with cake baking.  Look at this amazing cake she made!  It was red velvet with (hot pink) cream cheese frosting, and it was delicious!!!

Did you see the silver glimmer paper she used to accent?  Love!

Just a few more fun photos from the shower:

Thank you so much to everyone who came to help Andrea celebrate!  It was so nice to see everyone, and I can't wait until the wedding!
